When should I start training my new puppy?

Answered By Paige Harbold

Training the puppy involves wider options. You should begin an early training as soon as you take the puppy home. Begin with their socialization training on their 8th weeks. A dog that is well socialized can interact well with all kinds of people and situations. Their obedience training can be started in between their 9th to 12th weeks of age. Always begin with the basics such as house training or teaching him about "No", "sit" or "come" on their 12th weeks. Intensive training is appropriate on their 5th to 6th months of age.
