What is the best way to potty train my puppy?

Answered By Paige Harbold

The best way to potty train a puppy is through paper-training. You can start teaching the puppy on its 6th to 8th weeks. When the puppy is already paper trained, he can already potty on a spot covered with newspapers where it can be picked or discarded easily. Choose a designated spot away form the puppy's food or dishes to begin with paper-training. Place your puppy on the newspapers and tell him to go potty, they will not understand this at first but do this often after the puppy has eaten or drank water. During this stage, the puppy should be confined to a space that can accommodate playing and running.
