Is there a way to prevent pet hair and dust from floating and sticking?

Can you answer cyclopse_ca’s question about Pets?:

My wife and I have 3 pets (2 dogs and a cat) and our house seems to generate a lot of dust. Every day it seems we need to vacuum and dust to prevent our rooms from looking atrocious. Is there anything we can do to prevent pet hair and dust from setting on so many objects or some way to catch it?

Pets Feedback: brush them a lot….you may also want to consider shaving down your dogs during summner, when there is a bi more shedding. We shave our Golden down before summer starts. He looks like a dork, but he is happier, and there aren’t golden tumbleweeds all over the floor.

Pets Feedback: Look at your air filtration system (AC filter). An investment into a really good air filter will minimize but not alleviate you problem.

Read this it goes into healthy ways to clean indoor air.
