Can you answer muzicfreak96’s question about Pets?:
I really want a pet, but I’m not sure what. So I was wondering what all of your answers would be. I live in a dorm before anyone asks.
This one girl has a ferret and someone has a gerbil. I want something small.
Also I’m in my room a lot, I’m not the big party hardy kind so I have a lot of love and attention time to give.

Pets Feedback: Greetings!
May I suggest a pet rock?
Good Luck
Pets Feedback: I would say a pet rock or a digital pet. That way you won’t get in trouble with the dorm.
Pets Feedback: Fish
Pets Feedback: for me a dog does not have any competition
Pets Feedback: cat
Pets Feedback: Is it fair to others in the dorm to have a pet?
Pets Feedback: Get a fish or hamster, that way you can hang with it when u like but it wont always be in your way.
Pets Feedback: a ferret or a hamster but thats just me
Pets Feedback: I would recommend a fish or something that is very little maintenance. I wouldn’t recommend a gerbel or anything like that, because they smell after only one day of being in their cage and I don’t think your roommates would appreciate that.
Pets Feedback: Komodo Dragon…they are sweet and snuggly and fit under your bed…
I think you can also eat them if we go into a serious recession and you don’t have any money…
Pets Feedback: LOL. A fish. Maybe a hampster or something but that’s pushing it.
Pets Feedback: Tropical fish.
Pets Feedback: A gold fish is the best pet for a college student in a dorm. Because they’re neat and won’t violate any dorm rules.
Pets Feedback: none, concentrate on your schoolwork.
Pets Feedback: Since you live in a dorm, your choices are kind of limited (check with your school’s rules on pets before just getting one). My school only allows fish, turtles, lizards (anything aquatic/non-furry). I would say a betta, because they don’t need much care, or a goldfish, they need even LESS care.
Pets Feedback: A fish if you want a real pet. It makes no noise, you only have to feed it once a day and clean out the bowl every couple of weeks.
Pets Feedback: keep something small and that you will be able to keep in a cage/tank why not try : a fish, lizard, or turtle
Pets Feedback: The best pet for you would be a goldfish. They are low maintenance and don’t require alot of attention.
Pets Feedback: I would have to say a fish just one trust me when you get deeper into the college life taking care of a pet is the least of your worries! Plus they are very soothing when your stressed out for some reason anything to do with water is calming! Get a really colorful one too makes it even better plus they are low maintenance
Pets Feedback: Something like fish or a turtle. Low maintenence, won’t get upset if you aren’t there or don’t pay attention to them, and they don’t make noise or a mess.
Pets Feedback: none. Its not fair to the pet. You are so busy with school, work and friends. Think of the poor animal who is going to be alone all the time you are gone doing other things. Also wait until you have a home with a backyard for the animal to streach its legs.
Pets Feedback: A rabbit. One is cause their cute two is cause their the perfect size for a dorm. But if you do get one make sure its a dwarf bunnie cause regular bunnies grow HUGE!
Pets Feedback: Rats make excellent small-living-space pets! They take up little room and are very quiet. They are very social and loving, and will happily sit with you while you are studying. Go to my website for more information about rats (link follows)
Pets Feedback: A fish. Though they are not very exciting. Maybe a cat or a small dog (like a pug) if they are allowed. Then there is a snake, turtle lizard, frog. Good luck and make sure you really want one, whatever it is. Pets need a lot of care no matter how small they are.
Pets Feedback: I think Budgerian birds are the best…they are so cute…and they don’t take alot of space or alot of watching…just cleaning the cage and feeding them…they are so nice when u watch them coo or kiss each other …and when they lay eggs , and have small baby birds…well..it’s fantastic…u just take care not to put them in the sun.
Pets Feedback: how about a guinea pig or hamster. if you have a room mate i would talk to them first because these guys make noise.
Pets Feedback: i think the best pet would be a fish
i know they cant play fetch or you cant pet them but its little up keep and you dont have to pick up dog poo off your floor
or if i were you i would just wait till you get a place of your own
Pets Feedback: I don’t think a dorm allows pets. A digital pet, and computer pets are my suggestion. A fish is what I would buy, they are quiet and won’t run around. A dog or a cat would be nice if they would allow it.
Pets Feedback: you can probably only have fish. Not even caged pets like ferrets and birds are allowed. Check your school’s handbook and find out. Then depending on how strict your ta is you can probably throw some hermit crabs in there. Make a minirainforest. When you move off campus then MAYBE consider getting something else..if you have the time and $$.
But check with your TA - Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland allows birds, gerbils, hamsters, and nonpoisonous snakes in its dorms
Pets Feedback: If you live in dorm….don’t get a pet! wait till you graduate and then when you are living in a real apt get a dog/cat…something you know you will be happy with. Remember, bringing a pet into your life is a lifetime commitment. They require lots of attention, time, patience, love and good training. Having a pet to be leaving him alone all the time or not having enough time to take him out for walks….is not good. Finish college….then get a pet!
Pets Feedback: well, check with ur roommate. don’t want to get a furry animal and find out they’re allergic, or get a snake or lizard and find they’re scared to ddath of them. and by the way, fish releive stress, might b a good idea…
Pets Feedback: Tetra fish! They are pretty to watch and easy to care for.
Pets Feedback: If you’re in a dorm NO pet is acceptable.
If you’re a college student, you don’t have time for pets.’
Pets Feedback: A green lizard, named Fred, and he likes to hear you sing. He likes his nails painted deep purple with a hint of pink dots. He loves the little pj’s you made for his birthday.
Pets Feedback: A dead one. It’ll save you grief later on.
Don’t you have some spider’s or rats around anyway? Check under that pile of clothes, you’re bound to find something to mother.
Pets Feedback: I would definitly say, no pet! they are too much responsiablitly and it might take away from school work. Also, you don’t want to make your roomates mad. but if u are living alone, MAYBE a fish.
Pets Feedback: Before you get a pet, make sure you are allowed to have one. With that said, I would say the best pet to have is a fish. They are easy to keep, make no noise and if you need to go away, you can just drop those tablets and they self-feed for a few days.
Pets Feedback: I think you want a quiet animal that doesn’t bother your roommate in a dorm, and you don’t want something like a dog that needs a lot of space and attention.
I’d suggest a small reptile, like an anole or even a snake. Or iIf you really want something furry, then I’d suggest 1 hamster or mouse. Buy a plastic cage and skip the hamster wheel to minimize the noise.
I wouldn’t recommend fish because you’ll have to find someone to feed them over spring/winter breaks… it’s a pain in the ass to take them home with you.
Pets Feedback: the best pet for a college student is a bird or fish they don’t take whole of care and you can on them between class and after class
Pets Feedback: Good question! And before I forget to ask later….are you sure your dorm allows pets?
Most do not, but if so, your best bet in such a small room would be goldfish, or other “aquarium” animals.
Once off campus I myself graduated to getting a rabbit, but a home is best for an animal, even of this size, as they need the room to be let out and run!
Check with the dorm rules, at the very least I would assume that they would have a list of what is allowed and then you can decide from there!
Pets Feedback: Most dorms only allow fish.
Pets Feedback: Small fish tank and I think the maximum for dorm is ten gallon. You can have about six fish and if you don’t put too much food in the water they will live and with a good filter there won’t be a lot of maintenance. Or you could get a hermit crab but they can get really smelly. Snakes and other reptiles don’t really do much.
Pets Feedback: i think pet fishes should be the best if you live in a dorm …….. hamster …….. chinchilla …….. rabbit …. they need lots of attentions and they smells if you don’t look after them right ……. if you opted for fish ……. try guppies, angel fish, all kinds of tetras …. they are nice to watch and they require little or no maintenance except for the occasional feeding …….. goldfish and discus are a problem though …….. they are quite fussy at feeding time and the water tends to get murky much quicker
Pets Feedback: 2 fish named Pinky and Brain. You, your friends and roommate(s) will have fun with the names (i.e. I’ve got to feed my Brain. There’s a Pinky in our room.)
Pets Feedback: Your best choice would obviously be something simple. You’re going to be spending a lot of time studying, at least 4 hours a day, and maybe even working. When you find free time you’ll probably be at a party of with friends, not necesarrily with your pet. I would suggest maybe you don’t get a pet until you see how busy you are. But if you want one right away, I would get a cat. Cat are simple, just leave a food and water bowl out, give them something soft to lay of sleep on, and keep a litter box out. I would suggest you get an automatic litter box though. Also get a trained cat, not one that you have to, it will make you become very unhappy.
Pets Feedback: My friend had a small pet rabbit when she was living in a dorm. And I had another who had a pet rat. And believe it or not, rats are VERY affectionate pets, and quite easy to take care of. They are also quite smart. I almost considered getting one, but my cats would probably try to have a feast on it… The pet rabbit was also quite cute and rather easy to take care of.
In a dorm, cats are quite hard to take care of. Litter boxes need to be changed everyday! Some will say it doesnt matter, but the smell in a small dorm or apartment can be unbearable if you do not change it everyday, you can also run the risk the cats tracking dirty litter clumps everywhere by it not being changed everyday. Cats should also be socialized frequently or they grow reclusive and become a bit unfriendly, so i do not recommend a cat.
Dogs are also difficult to take care of if you are in school and living in a small dorm or apartment. For one, it is time consuming to have to house train them, and to train their behaviours. Dogs need a great deal of attention as well, and if you are gone too much, they can become depressed.
Pets Feedback: fish
Pets Feedback: Stick insect.
Pets Feedback: hamster or a betta
Pets Feedback: you should get a turtle
